Council President Andrew Rudman
Since his election in November 2004, Council President Andrew Rudman has been one of the most progressive and creative members of the council, and has been committed to making Oradell the best
community it can be.
"As a Councilman over the past years, I have worked to get the 'politics' out of town government and bring Oradell together to tackle tough issues in pace with today's needs. While there are always challenges, I think we have positioned Oradell to succeed."
Rudman wants Oradell to continue to be the warm and friendly community he and his family have enjoyed for the past 20 years, and has worked tirelessly to keep it that way. Prior to his election Rudman served on the Oradell Little League Board for six years and as the Vice President of Baseball for four years.
On the council Rudman currently serves as the liaison to the Administration Committee, DPW, and Regional School Funding Committee. Previously, he served as liaison to the Education and Recreation Committees. While on the council Rudman has worked to improve shared services arrangements, and has been a strong supporter and proponent of open and inclusive government.
As an experienced business manager Rudman has prolific experience in bringing people together in order to solve difficult conflicts. He hopes to continue to apply his over 30 years of corporate experience to the current problems facing Oradell.
Rudman attended State University in Buffalo, New York where he studied business administration. Andrew and his wife Stephanie have been married for 31 years. Stephanie works as a Marketing Director for Cauldwell Wingate in New York City and is currently board member and first vice president of the Oradell Public Library.
