Learn More About Rob Pizzuto

Councilman Rob Pizzuto

Elected in November, 2004, Rob Pizzuto has worked hard to bring greater accountability to our Council.

Professionally, Rob spent many years in the Publishing business selling and marketing advertising space for This Old House Magazine. After the economic downturn in 2008, Rob, like many seasoned professionals, lost his job due to severe corporate cut-backs. This set back did not, however, prevent him from continuing his service as Councilman to Oradell.

Rob has a passion for the power of communication in both his professional and public careers. "Everyone benefits when there is an open and transparent process. There is no greater way to empower the citizens of our community than by keeping them informed. I am delighted to have played a role in opening the council doors to the public, thereby enhancing the dialogue and benefiting from the civic commitment of so many citizens.” (Quote taken from an interview after approving Oradell’s Video Committee in 2005.)

Rob attended Pace University where he majored in Literature and Communications. In 1986, he began his commitment to community service while volunteering his time for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. In 1991, he was named "Volunteer of the Quarter" for his outstanding service. Since living in Oradell, Rob served for two years as a member of the Oradell Recreation Committee. He is a past board member of the Oradell Little League, and Oradell Kids Foundation. Additionally, Rob is the Liaison to the Oradell Public Library, Video Committee and Zoning Board. He is also the Chairperson of the Public Safety (Police) Committee and serves as a member of the Finance Committee. His wife, Valerie, is a successful real estate agent in Bergen County and is employed by the Surrogate Court in Bergen County, NJ. Valerie has equally been committed to community service and is a past First Vice President of the Oradell PTA.

The Pizzuto’s have a daughter Madeleine who attends River Dell High School and a son Michael, who attend River Dell Middle School.

Rob Pizzuto welcomes the opportunity to continue to serve Oradell residents.
