Michael Harte

Councilman Michael P. Harte’s character is defined by hard work, dedication, honesty, and service.  His local business, Painting and Design, Inc., grew from one person in 1980 to a well respected firm serving families and businesses in Oradell and surrounding communities.

Councilman Harte, appointed to the Oradell Council in 2008, immediately dedicated himself to tackling his new job and effectively contributing to the needs of our town. His results-oriented approach has earned the respect of his colleagues and the community.  He worked to resolve problems to help guide completion of our newly renovated library and is now focused on the completion of the Oradell DPW’s building reconstruction.

As Council liaison to the Oradell Environmental Committee, Mike is committed to pursuing new programs for a Greener Oradell. He initiated New Jersey’s first Biodiesel Fuel Recycling Program as a shared service with the town of Westwood.

Mike is liaison to the Oradell Senior Citizens Advisory Committee which recently secured funds for a housing study for Oradell seniors.  He is also liaison to the Oradell Chamber of Commerce and the Oradell Special Events Committee.

Mike serves on the Building and Grounds Committee of St. Joseph’s Parish.  He is a Little League coach, and a long term sponsor over the past decade of numerous Oradell children’s recreational baseball and basketball teams.

Mike is the proud father of two sons, Michael Thomas, a sophomore at River Dell High School and Connor Patrick, a 3rd grader at Oradell Public School.

Mike has worked tirelessly on the Oradell Council this past year, and with your vote will continue to be part of Mayor Didio’s team serving the needs of the residents of Oradell.
